Microscope Sales Rep - Work at Home – Website Based Business

Microscopes, Inc. in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, is currently searching for skilled microscopists to be a part of our professional sales and development team.

Location: Greater St. Louis Area, or elsewhere

Compensation: Compensation depends on experience, background, and assignments given.

Job Description: Looking for work-at-home sales reps to answer incoming phone calls and emails relating to our microscope product line. We never do unrequested outbound cold calling or spam emailing. Our customers find us via our websites. Our sites need a lot of upgrading. Need help developing our websites including new product development (additional new microscopes we bring on), adding products we don't carry that others ship (drop-ship) and content writing of articles bases on the website's subject. We currently carry all items in stock and don't drop-ship anything. Looking for multiple individuals to fill these needs. Sales reps need to be at a phone and internet connection during normal working hours. Writing articles for website development can be done part-time and at the worker's convenience.

We have multiple websites, each specializing in a particular area of microscopy. We sell most every type of microscope including:

  • Stereo microscopes including uprights for inspection and hobby and boom stand units for circuit board repair and engraving.
  • Compound microscopes for lab, medical, clinical, biological, veterinary.
  • Toolmakers microscopes for measuring distances, threads, angles of machined parts and tooling.
  • Darkfield microscopes for live blood cell analysis.
  • Kids and Student microscopes of lower price/quality.
  • Video Inspection microscopes with on-screen viewing for inspection and quality control lines of parts and circuit boards.
  • Fluorescence, Surgical-Operating, Polarizing (geological), Gemological (diamond and gemstones), Forensic (bullet comparison and forensic evidence), Phase Contrast, Inverted Tissue Cell Culture, and Metallurgical microscopes.
  • *We also sell USB cameras to fit the microscopes as well as have built-in USB cameras in Digital microscopes.

Our primary customers are universities, high schools, medical hospitals, veterinary clinics, and industry. We also sell a significant amount of basic stereo and compound microscopes to private individuals for home use, hobby, and homeschool student use.

Ideal candidates would include high school science teachers, biology majors, geology background (for polarizing microscopes), someone skilled at live blood cell analysis using darkfield microscopy, those with internet marketing skills (SEO and social networks), and technical writing majors good in science topics.

Prefer workers living in the greater St. Louis, Missouri area so we can occassionally meet to discuss projects and demonstrate the microscopy equipment. However, it is not imperative that meetings happen, so we will consider workers in distant areas where it is not possible to meet.
